I think that the lack of content weakens the Journal Sentinel and the app. There are almost no reviews of plays, classical concerts, art installations, new buildings.

The free newspapers at the grocery store have far better events listings. Years ago the events in the Friday paper filled an entire page. There is no calendar of events except Friday. There just isn’t enough there! The local and business reporting is skimpy. The app looses one whole star for me because of the minimalist content. Or sometimes the crosswords won’t print on a single page. Often the puzzles pixelate when printed and become too blurry to use. The puzzles can’t be worked in this app, so crosswords or any puzzle I want to work on has to be printed. About half the time, when I want to turn the page, I end up hitting the button for ‘edition’ instead. The button to turn the page is immediately next to a column of other controls. I don’t have mountains for newspapers to recycle, and the paper is always available early in the morning no matter what the weather.ġ. The print and images are sharp and clear. Sigma performed an ALTA/ACSM land title survey for site design of grading, utilities, paving, retaining walls, rail spur upgrades and landscaping, as well as integrated environmental obstacles into site design and construction activities. I relied on the Milwaukee Sentinel to supplement coverage provided by the Journal. Sigma served the Journal Sentinel as both site design engineer and construction manager to coordinate and plan the project. Civil / Site Engineering and Construction Administration Sigma obtained certificate of completion under the Voluntary Party Liability Exemption (VPLE) from the WDNR. Sigma completed extensive subsurface investigation and remedial actions in concurrence with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) involving exemption to construct on a landfill, passive venting for methane control, site-wide risk evaluation, and a practical soil management approach. Sigma assisted the Journal Sentinel through brownfield grant programs sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Development and the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee. The site selected by the Journal Sentinel was a 42-acre brownfield that straddles West Milwaukee and Milwaukee in the South 43rd Street industrial corridor. Sigma conducted all required environmental remediation, abatement and due diligence for the site, a former industrial brownfield, as well as owner’s representative responsibilities. Sigma was also selected by Journal Sentinel executives as the project owner’s representative. The Sigma Group functioned as site design engineer and construction administration for site construction, representing approximately $5 million of the overall project budget.
